Michael Norton OBE

Michael Norton, OBE is the Founder of CIVA and serves as its Director. Mr. Norton founded the Directory of Social Change in 1975, the UK’s leading provider of information and training to charities. He founded YouthBank UK in 1998 and incubated the Otesha Project UK, FoodCycle, MyBnk and other social ventures in the UK and India. He co-founded Changemakers in 1994 and served as its Executive Chairman until 2001. He was a Co-Founder of Buzzbnk and served as its Chairman. He is a well-recognised expert in fundraising, author and serial social entrepreneur. He serves as the Chairman of the Board at Trillion Fund Limited. In 2013, he won the prestigious Award “Beacon Award for Pioneering Philanthropy”. In 2014, he was honoured with the "Outstanding Achievement Award" at The Charity Awards.

Onyekachi Wambu

Onyekachi is the Executive Director at the African Foundation for Development (AFFORD), a charity that seeks to enhance the contributions that Africans in the diaspora make to Africa’s development.  The charity is a pioneer and innovator in the field of policy and practice of ‘diaspora and development’. AFFORD’s advocacy work has contributed to UK and international recognition of the role of the diaspora in international development, and in the subsequent initiation of new policies, programmes, funds and schemes. Onyekachi was educated at the University of Essex and completed his M.Phil in International Relations at Selwyn College, Cambridge. Before AFFORD, he worked extensively as a journalist and television documentary maker, for the BBC, Channel 4 and PBS. . A respected broadcaster and commentator on African affairs, his commentary has appeared on the BBC, CCTV, Voice of America, Press TV, TVC, and the Guardian.


Christelle Kupa

Christelle is the founder of Uhusiano Capital, which is boutique financial advisory firm, based in London (FCA-regulated) with a specialisation in Impact Investment and Blended/Hybrid Investment solutions.  As a multi-lingual financial professional with over 15 years of experience in investment banking, alternative investments and development finance, she is well-experienced in impact investment on the African market that contribute to sustainable solutions for growing the local economy. She is FCA-regulated professional with a degree in business and finance.

Kenneth Legesi

Kenneth is a Manager at Deloitte, in the Strategy & Innovation practice, mainly providing advisory services for infrastructure and capital projects. He has over fourteen years’ experience in infrastructure and capital projects and real estate sectors including advisory services across the infrastructure and capital projects lifecycle for Lenders, Governments, Investors and Operators including Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects across different geographies and sectors. Kenneth provides insightful and relevant technical and financial advice for infrastructure and capital projects and real estate for both corporate and project financed mandates. This includes preparing feasibility studies, undertaking due diligence, supporting the procurement process and preparing transaction materials, developing contract documentation, gaining successful financial close and supporting operations of infrastructure assets.
Kenneth has an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Makerere University, a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering with Business Management from Imperial College London and he has completed the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) Program.
